Standard First Aid

Standard First Aid

Standard First Aid is a vital skill that can help save lives in times of emergencies. It involves providing immediate care to someone who is injured or suddenly becomes ill, while waiting for professional medical help to arrive. First Aid can prevent a condition from worsening, promote recovery, and even mean the difference between life and death.

Partnership

In partnership with DOH-CAR, the La Trinidad MDRRMO conducts regular Standard First Aid Training to enhance community safety and preparedness. This program equips participants with essential skills to handle emergencies like wounds, fractures, and burns effectively.

Community Empowerment

Through these sessions, participants—including barangay officials, volunteers, and community members—learn essential skills in first aid and how to handle various emergencies until professional help arrives. The training also builds confidence and awareness, helping people act quickly and correctly in a crisis.

Emergency First Aid

Emergency First Aid courses cater to those with limited time but needing vital life-saving skills. This short-term training covers essential procedures for urgent situations, offering practical, easy-to-learn techniques for immediate application without requiring the full standard course.

Standard First Aid Training of Trainers

La Trinidad MDRRMO and DOH-Cordillera offer Standard First Aid Training – Training of Trainers (TOT) to expand first aid education. This advanced course prepares selected individuals to become trainers in their communities or organizations. Participants receive intensive instruction in first aid and teaching strategies, ensuring sustainable and widespread access to life-saving knowledge.

Coordination

Partnerships like that of La Trinidad MDRRMO and DOH-CAR show how teamwork between agencies can lead to stronger and more resilient communities. By empowering people with knowledge and skills in Standard and Emergency First Aid, La Trinidad takes a big step toward protecting lives and promoting public safety.

Enhancing Awareness, Building Capacity, Promoting Preparedness

The municipality aligns its disaster risk reduction and management efforts with Republic Act No. 10121, which highlights the importance of awareness, capacity-building, and preparedness through trainings to strengthen community resilience.
